Rude OBGYN office staff

Can I just rant about this awful older woman at the front desk of my obgyn office?! I swear, I love my office and the medical staff is amazing!! And the ultrasound tech is literally the sweetest woman ever! Even most of the girls in the front are nice. But this one older woman working up front is so rude!

Today I was checking out after an appointment and scheduling my next ultrasound. She named a date and I said “oh that’s perfect. Is that you’re earliest?” (Hoping to get an early morning one for the sake of my husband missing less work) but she said “no that’s the earliest.” So I said “okay that’s fine. Thanks.” It was a normal and pleasant exchange. So I go off to the side to sit down again in the waiting room, waiting for some blood work. And I hear the older woman mouthing off about patients and talk crap. I thought to myself, well that isn’t professional... 🙄 then I realize, omg is she talking about me? I’m listening to her talk to a coworker, recalling an exchange with a patient and she says “yeah and I told her that was the earlier appointment we had and there was nothing I could about it. Like I’m just trying to do my job!...and I guess she just left...” I’m thinking okay, if she’s talking about me, that is NOT how the conversation went and she’s making things up just to complain about something.

Then two seconds later as she’s saying all this, she begins to call my phone!! while I’m sitting right there in the office! So I get up and walk over, and I’m like “uh I’m right here...someone is calling me...?” And the older woman goes “oh I thought you had left! You have blood work to do.” I said “uh yeah I’m sitting over here waiting for it by the side door...” (there’s a specific side door on the other end of the office where you go in for the blood work.)

I was contemplating saying something to her like, i hope you weren’t just talking about me there... 🤨

But it’s obvious she was because she was calling me as she was saying those things.

So so rude! Like she just made up a story to complain about someone. She must have been having a terrible day and she must really hate her job. Because she’s always been that way each time i go into the office while she’s there. She seems inconvenienced anytime she helps anyone. And all the online reviews that have complaints are always about her! She’s just a sad grumpy woman I guess...
