I used this shit when I was slightly younger and it worked like a charm! You have to get it from your doctor, but I did help with cystic acne. I recommended it to my friend a couple months back, she got it and her face cleared up beautifully! 
It does bleach your clothes and make your skin sensitive, but I only used it once a day an night (dosage is two times a day) and it cleared me up :)
My acne is now manageable, so I just use Clinique. It has been the ONLY face wash to not cause me issues (sensitive skin). I also use the toner and moisturize. Helps a lot!
