pain near c section scar

I've had 3 c sections over the past 9 years with the last one being almost 4 years ago. Lately just past the end of the right side of my scar it's very painful almost a stabbing burning very bizarre feeling when touch and looks almost like it's bumping out and has a red circular spot. My first thought was maybe a hernia or something but I've also read some people have these symptoms from scar tissue. I'm going to make an appt with my obgyn to have it checked out but has anyone else had something similar?
