Contractions vs Labor ?

Ftm here, went to my OB today and she mentioned I've been having contractions, (i couldn't feel them) 
I'm wondering what differentiates contractions and onset labor ? 
I'm 37 + 4, could this mean baby will come soon ?

You'll no when they're real because they wont stop lol
 They will just get more frequent and stronger and wint break for an hour

Unfortunately it could go either way, you could go into full blown labour today..but it could also be weeks of contractions on and off with false labour 🤷‍♀️ It’s all a waiting game

When contractions properly kick in ( from my experience mind every women is different) they don't let up and they increase in intense pain and become quicker - you literally can't catch your breathe 👍
You won't second guess it.

I am in early labor at 35 weeks but it won’t necessarily lead to actual labor early. I’m not dilated at all but am having very consistent contractions.
