Husband had bad credit when we were dating. Opened credit cards and never paid them or his bills. I paid everything off and fixed his credit. All was good.

10 years later, we decide to sell our house and move. We start the process and sell our house. I find a credit card statement hidden in his truck. It was for $200 on a credit card that he never paid it and never told me about it. He bought a hoodie and hid it all from me.

Now we sold our house, and just found out that his credit doesn’t quality for a mortgage loan. This is partially the fault of the loan officer who said we were fine to start the process, but it’s mostly the fault of my husband who fucked his credit over a dumb hoodie.

I don’t know what to do. We are living with my parents, but I don’t know if I can trust him not to fuck over our family again. He keeps saying is was a “dumb mistake”, but he made these mistakes before and didn’t learn his lesson.
