Mini pill

Has anyone had break through bleeding while on the mini pill? I was on the mini pill with my first and had basically 2 periods a month ugh and now I feel like the same thing is happening again! Does anyone know of a different method? I’m EBF and plan on trying for another baby in the next year or so-so don’t think a more permanent form of birth control makes sense but this whole 2 periods is gonna get old fast again! I see my midwife next week so I’ll talk to her about it then but wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience and if there was any good resolution thanks!
