Do people from France tend to blow air kisses as a thank you?

I’m trying to google but I can’t find anything. I’ve had a crush on a guy from France since last year. We decided to take the same college class again this semester. Anyways. Today he left class to take a phone call and was gone long. Class ended while he was gone so I gathered his belongings for him and texted him to meet me at the elevator. He met me there. I gave him his stuff he thanked me, like blew a kiss and I headed to my next class. I can’t tell if I’m reading too much into it
