Measuring Small?

Had my 37w ultrasound and baby is measuring 35w/5d!! Smallest it’s every come in, around 5pds 7oz. At 31 weeks baby was 3pds 10oz... has anyone else had such an odd result ? Baby is in the 27th percentile which is low as you can tell. Hoping everything is normal and ultrasound tech didn’t get the right measurements. Not sure what to think- hoping I don’t go to 42 weeks

I had my 38 week appointment today and my son was in the 6th percentile weighing at 5lbs 13oz so they sent me to get induced. they said anything over the 10th percentile is concerning! I wouldn’t worry to much mama but don’t hesitate to get a second opinion!

I had similar results from my 36 week scan, she was born Saturday, full term. Weighed 8 pounds and 19 inches long

Yes, I was measuring with him at exactly 27% too (overall) and some parts as low as 12%. Had him yesterday at 38 weeks (induction, because we thought he wasn’t growing well) and he came out perfect. Nothing wrong at all ☺️ just smol. Plus the US can be off by a whole pound! Which makes a huge different in percentile.

Measurements at this stage are notoriously unreliable - could be off by up to two pounds. Even if your baby is exactly that size, it will be fine - the nature of percentiles means that somebody has to be at a lower percentile, and besides, you could have an easier labor with a smaller baby.
