Cleaning baby girls genital area

Random question, have any of you baby girl mama’s pulled back the skin and cleaned just inside the vaginal area of your little girl? I asked my midwife at my home check and she said it’s fine, it’s just the waxy coating that protects them in the womb that’s in there but she didn’t say when I should wipe it away?

It’s been 6 weeks and it’s still there. Should I wipe it away or leave it?

I don’t wanna leave it and it getting infected or something.

I don’t mean inside the vagina hole FYI.
