Should he be charged?

I just read about this story that occurred in a town close to where I live. Apparently there was a dog that ended up being hit by a car, the driver got out and attempted to find the owners but was unsuccessful so he drove off. A man then came out his house and started shooting, another man who was visiting another home then also fired shots in return killing the other mans wife and wounding him. The second guy who shot his gun was not charged for shooting the other man but was charged for murdering the mans wife. They think the dog belonged to couple and that the man started shooting at the other thinking he was the one who hit and killed the dog. Do you think the second guy should be charged even though he just defending himself or do you believe he should go to jail due to killing the woman who had nothing to do with the situation?

If people come out guns blazing for no reason, they should all be charged. A dog was hit, who comes out with a gun for this?

Yes he should be charged. You cannot shoot someone because they ran over your dog. The other person was defending himself as he had a right to.

Here's screenshots of the article on ABC. I don't think he should be charged, she was probably standing next to her husband and was just hit in crossfire. If anything, her husband should be charged because he instigated the whole situation.
