Eye movement 2 months??

Stressed out FTM here! All the articles I read say at 2 months say babies should start following objects by this point and mine hasn't yet.
He certainly can tell when light changes or shone on him... sometimes it looks like hes watching things around me..definitely recognizes me and breaks out into a smile...but doesnt follow.objects when I move them in front of his eyes yet.
Are your 2 month baby's eyes following objects yet??? Or should I get him checked out by the pediatrician??

Did you baby just turn 2 months? I wouldnt worry. All babies develop at their own pace. Chances are over the next few weeks your baby will start for follow objects. My little didnt start right at the 2 month mark. But now a few weeks into the month shes doing more and more. If your still worried in a few weeks you can have the dr check it out..

My baby at 11 weeks will only follow objects if the mood strikes. 🤷‍♀️ Inconsistent. But my childs pediatrician said if baby can do it at all, that is considered meeting the milestone.

My little girl focuses and follows on objects that are high contrast against the background. Have you tried to use objects that contrast with the background?

I was worried too when my little girl got two months and wasn't following objects. We asked her pediatrician and he said as long as she was following us at that point there was nothing to worry about. Some children take longer to follow objects. My little girl is 10 weeks today and I only noticed her follow a non-human object for the first time 2 days ago.

Mines 8 weeks old and I’d say has been really good at doing this since 6 weeks. Every baby is probably different 🙈

My baby is 7 weeks and has done this for a week or so. I would just ask your pedi to put your mind at ease.
