the Joker
Alright so this movie is massive controversy right now. I’ve been waiting to see it, nervously reading reviews.
⚠️If you haven’t seen it STOP READING ⚠️
I watched it tonight with my husband. My parents have already seen it and have been eager to talk to me about it. We get home and they just bombard me with questions on what I thought. What they took from it is the Joker is painted to be such a terrible person. He’s done nothing but bad things.
Honestly, if you think this you were not paying attention. This movie is about mental illness. This was a man who lived an innocent life, and was treated horribly for his conditions, for what he did to make his livelihood. He was abused, tortured and reached a breaking point.
This movie was directly about what happens to a person when their entire life is nothing but a series of unbelievably unfortunate things. And people truly never notice something is wrong with a person until it is really too late.
This relates to our society so much. How people are so quick to turn their heads away from those who need help.
Mental illness is serious. I hope others have seen this and taken it to heart. Raise your children to be good people. Be a part of the good in the world.
Kindness is absolutely everything.
