I think it's a psychological problem involving the idea that a married man is wanted and therefore worth having... And they think and he is choosing me over his wife so it gives some sort of validation that they are "better" and more desirable. Realistically though men rarely leave their wives and a guy who cheats on his wife will cheat on his mistress and doesn't stick around when things are tough because they are selfish and only think about their happiness in the moment.

Yes! We live in a crazy world im sure there are women out there that only want that for one reason or another. Does it make it right? No, but it happens and anyone who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves.
