Doc band?

Has anyone’s baby been recommended for the doc band for reshaping their head? Just curious as to what you chose to do and the process

One week down. His pediatrician thought his Plagiocephaly was around moderate to severe, but purely cosmetic ---not affecting the brain--and gave us the option to wait until 6months for change, or get a free evaluation from Cranial Tech. We did the evaluation. They recommended physical therapy for his neck (because lack of full range of motion on one side led to his Plagiocephaly). Rated his asymmetry as severe and explained everything about the doc band so we could make the choice of whether to get it. He had another appointment to get an even more accurate evaluation after we came to the decision of getting it, and got his doc band the following week. Now he's in it about 23 hours a day and has an appointment a week for them to shave off the inside of the band as needed to accommodate for growth.

My daughter hasn’t been recommended one yet but she does have a little flat spot on the left side of her head from where she favored laying as a newborn. The pediatrician said he wouldn’t do anything until 6 months if it’s needed but I’m so worried😣 she didn’t have a lot of room to turn and he was thinking her muscles were weak from how she was squished in my uterus so she could only turn her head a certain way. We started doing neck exercises. The flat spot hasn’t gotten better but it hasn’t gotten worse either.
Now she’s rarely on her back and I know as they get older the head can round out because they are more mobile and able to do other things. She doesn’t have her 6 month appointment until the end of next month but I’m hoping he just tells me that time will fix it and she won’t need one to fix that little spot. She doesn’t like anything on her head.
