Did anyone stop taking prenatal vitamins ?

I stop since 14-15 weeks already. It makes me want to gag. Anyone else? 17 week atm.

I took them daily the first few weeks, stopped talking them for a little while, and took them sporadically until this week when I am making an effort to remember to take them everyday. My mom never took them and she had 5 normal kids. If you don’t take them, just make it a point to eat healthy.

Definitely not. Even if you switch to a multi vitamin or gummy vitamin with folic acid is better then nothing. My cousin was born with a serious birth defect because my aunt wasn’t taking enough folic acid through out her pregnancy so I have seen the damage this can do. I really encourage you to find something you can live with to help prevent this possible outcome.

they made me sick when i did the same ones when i was prego before. but this time the gummies made me really sick so i started taking the sample pills my doctors gave me but the pill is huge & im terrible at taking pills so im back to the gummies & i just dont eat them everyday.

i’m probably about to get roasted but i haven’t taken them my whole pregnancy (with my doctors knowledge) due to the fact we couldn’t find ANY that didn’t make my Hyperemesis gravidarum 100xs worse. my doctors been keeping a closer eye and doing more ultrasounds because of it to make sure everything is going smoothly

I didn’t take them with my daughter. I did for my first trimester because I struggled to eat due to sickness, but once I was able to eat well enough, I let my nutrition suffice. I felt better off them, and that means something to me. I trust my body with things like that, and every time they took my blood, my levels were beautiful and the baby grew great and so did I. 
That said, if you don’t feel confident that you’re getting enough nutrients or you are experiencing symptoms of any deficiencies, than make sure you address that with supplementation and talk to your doctor.

I’ll take my folic acid til they run out, same with the DHA. But have to take the iron til birth.

I do the gummy ones and I chew them at night so I don’t feel crappy during the day.

I’m 17 weeks. I noticed around 10 that I only got morning sickness (see also: all day sickness) when I took my prenatals. I tried another kind. No go. At 14 weeks my OB gave me samples of a different kind and they were great. I only had a weeks worth so now I’m back to no prenatals. I’m gonna try another brand again since I’m no longer in the first trimester and hope for the best. Have you tried gummies?
