Ultrasound and no baby

Not sure how far I am due to my periods being so irregular and we stopped focusing on ttc after my miscarriage in March and 5 months of trying we said forget it. Literally the 6th month is when I got pregnant which is the month where I didn't care anymore, crazy right? Yeah, I know, what I said too! Wish I would've been paying attention to everything, the date ect. Well I'm definitely pregnant, but don't know how far I am. My doctor told me I was going to miscarry and I needed an D&C 😤 now he is saying, more than likely just ovulated late. Here is a picture of the ultrasound, he is saying he sees nothing and that I'm possibly just really early. Has anything like this happened to any of you? What were your experiences like? Please share with me, this whole pregnancy has been a disaster. I have been super worried and worked up to where I can't even enjoy my pregnancy. I was so happy at first!
