Coronation for a 21st birthday

Now I’ve heard of a coronation for people in monarchy. I’ve never heard of someone that’s not in monarchy getting coronated for a 21st like how does that work? What do you do? It’s interesting to me because none of my friends did this kind of thing.

He literally bought a crown and everything. I’m just like

I’m wondering if anyone has ever heard of someone doing this for a twenty first birthday. Not judging just interested and curious.
