I had my anatomy scan today and was so excited to learn I'm having my first girl! After 3 boys i was beginning to worry 🙈😂
Anyway, i was told she has Polydactyly. Basically a 6th finger on her right hand. So an extra pinky according to them. They said it's genetic buttt, my dad has never heard of any of our family having this and neither has my husbands mom or dad. All genetic testing came back normal so other than the 11th finger, she's perfect. I did look at the statistics and its 1 in 1331 in caucasians and 1 in 413 African Americans. We're caucasian so not sure why this is happening.
