bloodwork
Hey ladies! So I deal with anxiety especially after a recent miscarriage in the spring. I’m 10 weeks pregnant and went for my nipt test today and the blood technician seemed new and was having a hard time drawing blood from me. She kept poking me and sliding the needle in and out to try and pick up blood. I told her you need to try the other arm because it’s starting to hurt. So she moves to the other arm and was able to get one vial filled but the blood stopped during the second vial and she was waiting and waiting to see if it would start again. I told her you need to take off the elastic band because my arm is going blue and numb you are taking too long . She finally did that and went back to the other arm and finally got blood for the second vial. Now I’m all concerned about how long she stop blood flow through my left arm when she was waiting to see if any blood would come out. I know I’m probably being paranoid but should I be concerned about how long she cut off blood flow to my arm? Can that harm the baby having not enough blood flow?
