I was on the nuva ring for 8 months and it started to cause issues so my doctor took me off of it for 3 weeks to make sure it was the problem. During the 3 weeks me and my boyfriend were active multiple times without protection. Was my birth control still protecting me from pregnancy or should I start to worry and get tests?????

No, if you aren't going to be putting the ring back in then it isn't effective at all once you take it out. It's normally effective during the off week but not if you don't put another one in after a week. So the past 3 weeks have been completed unprotected and you can get pregnant
