Fern test? Anyone had one??

I have to go in and get a fern test for fear I'm leaking amnio fluid. Has anyone had one before? Does it hurt? Help!

No it doesn't hurt they collect some cervical mucus and let it dry on a slide, then examine it under a microscope. They can tell if labor is imminent by the "fern" pattern it will or will not have
