Pregnant right after a miscarriage?

I found out at 10w, 6days that I had a missed miscarriage and baby never developed past 6 weeks. I had a d&c two days later and that was exactly 7weeks ago today. I was told that I should get my period 4-6 weeks after but I've heard of people getting them as late as 8weeks afterwards. Around 5weeks I had slight spotting but it was only brown like old blood, not like a period at all. Could that have been my period? Tomorrow is pay day so I'm going to get a test to check if I am but I'm so worried! What if I am? My husband and I tried for over 6 months to get pregnant the last time so I really want a baby, but is it going to be okay if I am pregnant? Im not having any symptoms right now but I didn't with my last pregnancy or when I was first pregnant with our daughter. Any words of encouragement or success stories would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
