Reflux? Breastfed to formula?

My doctor thinks my son has silent reflux. She said I could switch to a reflux formula but everything I’m reading says breastfeeding is better for babies with reflux than formula. 
Does anybody have any experience with reflux where you breastfeed or formula feed?

I'm ebf and we just got reflux meds for baby at his 2 month appt. 
They have definitely helped a lot!!!!
Also using the Gerber soothe probiotics..

We went to the doctor last week and was told our baby also has silent reflux. They started us on medicine and our baby is so much  better! I also breastfeed and the doctor didn’t say anything to me switching to formula. 
I was watching my dairy before we went and I’m still trying to cut back because I’ve read it can cause reflux to be worse.

My baby has reflux, is breastfed. Probiotics have helped her a ton.

I’m not sure but when I was breast-feeding my baby still had reflux even when I was exclusively breast-feeding for a period of time. We have tried several reflux formula’s and surprisingly gentle ease was the one that helped even though it’s mainly for gas.￼. We burp him every ounce and a half and use that in his spitting up and reflux has nearly stopped￼
