Not pumping in the night??

So my LO just started sleeping through the night

So now I’m getting a full 8 hour sleep. But I notice my boobs getting so engorged in the morning. Of course I know that pumping in the night will relieve this, but I just started liking this whole sleep thing. Any mommas not pump in the night and it not affect your supply? Or will this automatically mess up my milk supply if I don’t pump?

I generally only pump to relieve engorgement, or if it’s necessary, like once my baby just stopped latching till i saw a lactation consultant. When i do it to relieve the pain I pump just a couple of minutes, enough to relieve the pain, but not make my body think baby is eating a meal. I sleep train my babies so they generally start sleeping 11ish hours by 3 months. My body always takes a little time to adjust when they make their transitions, but then it just makes more during the times they eat. Our bodies are amazing like that. I am able to breastfeed my babies for 12+ months, without waking up in the night to feed or pump once they’re sleeping through the night. Good luck!

I never pumped at night once she started sleeping during it. There was some discomfort for a few days but it regulated itself and my supply is fine during the day.

I got tired of waking up to wet shirts and wet sheets so I started waking up when I felt discomfort and pumped for no more than 10 minutes and jumped right back in bed. Before bed I had everything washed and ready for me to just pump and put in the fridge to deal with in the morning.

Mine did at first too, eventually it got better. I did pump the first time in the morning because they hurt, but then I stopped and just put him to the boob alot the next day. It eventually regulated its self. Theyre still full in the morning, but not nearly as bad.
