Does spotting count as a period?

I had very light pink/brown discharge/spotting for 4 days on and off about 2 weeks ago. It wasn’t enough to even need a panty liner. Does that count as a period? I’ve taken multiple pregnancy tests since then and they all were negative. I’m not sure if I should count it or not or if I should log it as a period on the flow app.

The first day of your period (CD 1) usually isn't counted until you see bright red, fresh blood.

Update for the people who may see this in the future: 
It was actually heavy ovulation spotting/bleeding, I ended up finding out a few days after this post that I was pregnant. (:

My is kind of different but Mines do same thing too of very light pink , red , orange and brown spotting on my pantiliner pad.

I am actually curious about this too. Does your period end when you quit bleeding all together? Because I won’t need a tampon but will have some brown spotting a day or two after
