Regular clothes after delivery??

Question

This might come off as a silly question but I'm a FTM in the middle of packing for a huge move. I'm due Nov 26. Did y'all fit into your pre pregnancy clothes.. Specifically jeans immediately after giving birth or did you have to wear maternity jeans for a while after? I've only gained about 15 pounds so far if that helps when giving your input/answer. Thanks in advance!! :)

I think your vagina will appreciate loose clothes.

You are going to want maternity pants. Jean are pretty constricting, I'd say maybe sweats or yoga. You will still have a baby tummy for a few weeks and you'll be wearing a pad like its the 1970s. You will want nothing tight constricting your downstairs lady business.

I thought there was a guide line on this, maybe after delivery would be like you were at 20 weeks. Not for sure, but I think the sales lady at motherhood maternity told me that.

With my first i wore smaller clothes when I left i gained 8 pounds total and this time I've lost 32 pounds so my pre pregancy clothes are not going to fit unless i gain a ton of weight back.

Usually not right after you can usually expect to be about the same size you were at 6 months right after before all swelling and fluids go down. Like you won't just go from baby bump back to prepregnancy in a day

The doctor told me that whatever clothes I wore around 26 weeks should fit after birth. You may bounce back pretty quickly but it's more for comfort and any swelling etc.I'd recommend dark coloured pregnancy leggings or loose pants don't forget you'll be a lil sore and probably bleeding xx

They say you fit into whatever you were wearing at around 7 months.

I definitely couldn't have worn pre/early pregnancy jeans when I left the hospital, wouldn't have fit! You will still have a lot of your belly left in the days after.

I never given birth this is will be my 1st. But everyone has told me pack comfortable clothes ! It's like the only thing evey one seems to agree on. I got some cute but comfortable gowns . And a really cute robe since it will be winter . I wanted to be super comfortable but  not have some old a ratty on.

I still wore my maternity jeans for a while after. It can take a little beat for you to not look pregnant anymore after birth. I still couldn't squeeze into my pre pregnancy jeans a month later so I had to buy new jeans. It took maybe a few months and then I was back into my jeans from before.
