Birth story:

Wednesday 10/16/19 I was scheduled to be induced at 7am because I was over a week late. On the way to the hospital I felt a pop, when we got there and I got out my water broke, perfect timing. I was 3cm when I got there, they still had to give me pitocin (Meds that produce intense, close together contractions) because my body wasn’t starting labor itself. I got iv hooked up and started pitocin at 845am. By 1030am I was 5cm and contractions were 2 minutes apart and very intense and painful. I decided to try the nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to cope with the pain. It was not working so I begged for the epideral and got that at 11:20am no problems. Epideral takes the pain away but not the pressure, so at 140pm I had lots of pressure, which meant I was getting close. I got checked at 335pm and was 8cm. By 7:20 I felt at ton of pressure and the urge to push, I got check and I was 10cm and ready! I started pushing at 7:25pm and pushed for 2 hours. Pushing was the hardest part. The pressure was unreal and painful and his head didn’t want to come out. I was so ready to give up I was so tired and didn’t think I could push anymore. If his head didn’t come out soon a c-section would have happened. By a miracle I did it, once his head was out, one more push and his whole body was out. I don’t know how I did it but I am so grateful for my son.
