Ever had someone share YOUR big news??

Question

Y'all ever had someone tell the people YOU wanted to tell about your big news?? Surely someone understands. 
My grandma is very, very sick. I didn't want to tell her about the baby (I'm only 8 +5) until she got better... Mostly because this time is about her healing, not about me. 
Everyone, I MEAN EVERYONE, agreed with me. She'd probably have a bad reaction to it cause of the new meds she's adjusting to etc etc. 
My and my father got together to go visit her about 45 minutes away in a hospital in the ICU room. I wanted to walk around because I was tired of sitting so much, allowed my dad to sit and I just walked to the cafeteria to get food/drinks and came back up. My brother had arrived and taken the other seat. 
My dad decided to blurt out, very loudly and obvious, 
"Hey why doesn't the pregnant lady sit down huh?" (He knew I hadn't told her, as he was the main one who advised me not to on the way to the hospital...) 
I looked at him in total shock and mouthed "what r you doing.." 
My dad said "why do you look so red??" I wanted to cry, I just looked at my Grandma who VERY seriously was pissed.
"Because she doesn't want me to slap the shit out of her." 
I didn't even know how to respond to that. Do I show her pics of the ultrasound? Do I inform her about mine and my now fiance's plans to get married? To I keep my mouth shut? 
No lol I awkwardly laugh and slip out of the room regret it. 
At least this one went better than the first pregnancy announcement...

I told my mom early with my first pregnancy because she's been so excited/anxious for us to have kids for years. I told her it was still early so we were keeping it quiet. After she got off the phone with me she immediately called all of my brothers and their spouses to tell them "her exciting news". I got upset and she then made me the bad guy for getting upset because she was just excited. Fast forward a few weeks, when we found out we miscarried. I made her tell everyone she told so maybe that will deter her from spilling the beans in the future. We're pregnant again and this time aren't telling her until later

YES!! This happened to me last year. I told my parents that I was expecting at 6 weeks and I begged them not to say anything until I was out of my first trimester but they BOTH decided to tell both sides of my family. I understood their excitement but I just wanted to wait until I was in the clear. Then the worst happened... I ended up miscarrying the baby about a month later. They felt so bad. This time around I haven’t told them. I’ll be 12 weeks on Tuesday so I’ll share the news at that time

My mom posted on Facebook about how excited are was to be a grandmother before I had a chance. The crazy thing is, she waited like 6 weeks, it's not like she got caught up in excitement when I told her. Also I'm an only child so it was obvious

Yes!!! My DH and I announced to our families a couple weeks ago. I specifically told my Mom (and she also knows we are both private people) that we weren't sharing on social media.  She goes and posts 'she's going to be a grandma'.  I was so annoyed.  And also an older guy at work who I'm close to strictly as a good person, knows we are expecting also.  He has told EVERYONE.  He won't let me tell anyone.  Several people have walked up to me hey congrats.  I'm like on what?  Your pregnancy, John told us.  😠😠😠 I get so annoyed but he's so excited for us but still.  Let me tell people.  I get it ..it's frustrating

My boss told my coworkers about my miscarriage without asking me, and one of them asked me, “oh I heard about your miscarriage, were you just too stressed or what?”

My mother in law always posts on facebooks minutes after we tell her even if I haven't announced it yet. And when we tell her she cries, not happy tears. Its always an awful experience😳

With my first I told my parents as soon as I found out and they actually kept it a secret until after my second trimester.
With my second I told them because we were excited and I told them to not tell anyone. My dad immediately told all of his family when they got together. I was so upset as I wanted to do a social media announcement once we knew everything was good. I ended up having a miscarriage at 10 weeks. It broke me, I never even told anyone what happened. I let them do it since they announced it.
I am expecting again, I’m 8 weeks tomorrow, and I haven’t told anyone. And I probably won’t tell them until thanksgiving. I just don’t want that excitement to be taken from me again.

No but my MIL and I were at the pumpkin patch and ran into a mutual friend from college (MIL coached at the college i attended and knows everyone I know). My husbands cousin recently announced to family that she was pregnant and the first thing my MIL says to this mutual friend is “XYZ is pregnant!” And when she looked shocked she said “oh you didn’t know! Yeah she just told us”. I wanted to face palm so hard at that moment. She is suuuuper early and didn’t want to say anything anyways to family and here she goes blurting it out to some rando friend at a pumpkin patch. I was mad for her. 😂

I've had people spread the news of my pregnancies before and it annoyed me but not nearly as much as when I asked my mom to watch the kids during my tubal reversal surgery. She then proceeded to tell everybody at my sister's baby shower that she would be a grandma to another one very soon and kept patting my belly. I was so mortified, not only did she make my sisters big day about me but telling everyone that we would be ttc before I even had the surgery (which isnt always successful) was horrible. It took us quite a while to conceive after the surgery too so I'm sure people talked quite a bit during that year. I know that it definitely diluted the news when we actually did announce that pregnancy.
The only people that know about this one so far are the ones that knew we were trying for another one and I'm hoping to keep it that way until after my sisters wedding because I want her day to be hers but I'm sure somebody will let it slip.
