Did your breech/ transverse baby flip?

Question

I’m almost 29 weeks my baby boy is completely breech and measuring slightly ahead so I have to get weekly ultrasounds starting next week to see if he will flip. I’m plus sized (don’t know if that matters). Anyone else find out their baby was breech this early? And did they flip? I’m so worried I’ll have to have a C-section 🙁 (which is fine as long as he gets here healthy but it’s not my first choice)

That's weird that they're giving you weekly scans to see if baby flips, being as early as you are. Doctors don't usually worry about breech babies until about 36 weeks

It all depends on your amniotic fluid. Mine said above 10 and it’s still easy for the baby to flip. Mines breech at 32 weeks and my fluid is at 18 so not worried.

My little girl has been breech the entire pregnancy. I’m currently 34 weeks. My OB isn’t concerned at all. I do have a scan scheduled in two weeks, but my doctor always does a scan at 36 weeks. Babies can change positions right up to the last minute. You still have plenty of time for baby to flip.

They found out my first was breech at 36 weeks and she never flipped... they never even worried about baby’s position before then though

My oldest was breech until 38 weeks 4 days he also didn't dropped until then it was him flipping and dropping that caused my water to break. Had him 7 hours later.

My son was breech up until the day before I was induced I had him at 41 weeks and 1 day. I hope your baby flips. They wanted to manually flip him but I told them no.

Mine never did. I had a scheduled CS. They offered to flip him but I didn’t feel comfortable with the risks after talking to my doctor and doing research. My CS went wonderfully and was one of the best and most special experiences of my life ♥️ mentally and emotionally preparing myself for a CS the moment they told me he was breech was the best thing I did for myself. But that is still early. They don’t start talking options until 36/37 weeks. They didn’t do weekly ultrasounds for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ the doctor was able to tell by feeling. They checked me again before my CS to be sure. Last ultrasound my current baby was breech as well. Currently almost 25 weeks.

Hm. My son was transverse around then as well, but my doctor didn’t seem concerned. That’s weird and doesn’t seem necessary to do weekly scans for that. I’d question your doctor about it personally because that seems really excessive and pointless. I have weekly appointments now only because of GD and an ultrasound in a couple weeks to check growth, but they never said anything about his position. I’ve always been told babies can flip into position even right up until going into labor.
