I kissed a random guy when I was drunk and now i’m worried I have herpes. what are the early signs of herpes??? what are the chances he gave me herpes?? am I overreacting?

okay so like on the herpes topic. my mom has herpes apparently and ive always thought cold sores were just from when you licked ur lips in the cold. but then i was talking to my friend about ppl we knew who had herpes and i did some research and turns out cold sores ARE herpes. and you can get them as a kid from ur parents. my mom has coldsores. ive had a cold sore. so. i have herpes.
