How to help with gasiness?

My son is 6 weeks old and he has HORRIBLE gas. For the past 2 days it has been at its worst but other than that the rest of the days have been normal. He is formula fed and it is a gentle formula, I give him gas drops and they sometimes help but tonight they aren’t really doing much. He has been crying because of the gas for about 4 hours now, stopping only when hes asleep or eating. Any home remedies? Please help it makes me feel so bad you can tell hes really uncomfortable
