Medical Leave for IVF

Has any taken a leave of absence while doing

IVF

? I know it is not covered under FMLA but wondering if anyone has worked around it?

I have a demanding, high stress job, where I constantly need to be “on point.” The hormones and everything else has definitely affected my work. (This is our 2nd cycle) My employer is not understanding of our situation at all. I’m so afraid to loose my health insurance (they cover a portion of the treatments) but don’t want to give up on our dreams of having a family.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
