Not sure if this is my period

I hadn’t had a period since August 15. Took pregnancy test and blood work and came back negative. I started “spotting” on September 23 and has continued up until October 16. I went to planned parenthood on the October 16 and was told I had bv and a yeast infection. Started taking metronidazole for the bv and now the blood has increased tremendously causing me to think that I’m not having a period just bleeding. Anyone have any insight?

I’ve been to the er twice and urgent care. I don’t have a primary doctor but I’m really worried cause the bleeding seems excessive
