Silly Question

Ha

I’m a FTM - my one week old daughter eats very well.

I’m predominantly expressing and bottle feeding her as I feel better seeing how much she’s getting as I was struggling to read her cues.

She will latch pretty well though and take from the breast still so where possible I’ll offer it and she will suckle for about 20-40 minutes and I’ll feel her take some milk in, however once she rejects the breast she still gives off hunger signs and take an ounce or 2 from her expressed bottle.

She makes it clear once she’s done but because i can’t see what she takes from the breast am I at any risk of over feeding her? She’s pretty content after a feed so I feel happy in the sense that I know she is full but she can go 4-4.5 hours between feeds whereas my health care service recommend every 3 hours
