Does Age Matter?.

So.. I just found out my bf is actually 45 not 35 like he has initially told me.. I found out because I was talking to his sister about that I wanted to see his baby pictures and on the bottom it had the year 87' and it says there hes 13 and shes 9... And im 22.
I love him alot hes such a great guy he treats me sooo good he treats me like a queen and we have so much in common..
I dont know what to do honestly.. He said he wanted to tell me but he didn't see like it would matter since age is just a number, im hurt by the fact that he lied to me about it.  
Please dont judge, just need some advice. Thanks!.

If he felt age was just a number then why wasn't he honest? It would honestly make me worry about him lying about other things within your relationship

Lying about anything in a relationship breaks the trust and it’s hard to get back

He probably lied because he knows it’s wrong for him to be with you at his age. I wouldn’t be interested in dating someone who lied so blatantly about anything.

The age IS an issue, but the even bigger issue is that he lied. He is more than DOUBLE your age. Old enough to be your dad!

The fact that he lied about something so weird makes you wonder what other things he’d lie about.

My concern is why would he lie? He knew he couldn’t keep that lie up forever. Eventually he’d have to have you put his birthdate down on a form or you’d see his ID. What else is possible for him to hide? Age gaps can be fine (my bf is almost 14 years older than me) but I think knowing about it upfront is important. The fact he hasn’t said anything this whole time is suspect.

Age doesn't matter but he lied i would be more mad at that rhen his age.my sister is dating a under man she is 40 and he is 34

My dad is 50, and his fiance is 26... (I'm 24) ...they have been together years and they are both so good for each other, they balance each other out so well and you can honestly tell they love eachother so much... so I'm my opinion, I dont thing the age gap really matters ... 😁
... Even though your man lied to you, which he absolutely should not have done, I suppose there could be a few reasons why he thought that was necessary. I'm not sticking up for him, I'm just saying sit down with him again and have a good chat about maybe why he felt he had to lie... 🤷‍♀️

I would ask him why he lied if ages just number and ask if theres others lies if he can easily lie about his age it wouldn't surprise me if theres more lies like that but in my opinion lying so early in relationships like that red flag even if it's something so same like this 
But if you really love care and trust  him that much then tell him how you feel about this and work it out together then when the talk over forgive and forget it's all in the past
