Does evening primrose oil really work

Question

I know there is probably going to be a few people who tell me to be careful or to not do it but I've already talked to my midwife about trying to naturally go into labor. I'm just ready to have this baby.

Idk but I’m trying it too! It does give me worse heartburn though. One of the only old-wives tales about inducing labor that I didn’t try my first pregnancy

It does, but not to induce labor. I inserted it vaginally starting at 36 weeks and was 4 cm dilated by 38 weeks. Went into labor right on my due date with no tearing. It helped ripen my cervix but that’s about it.

I took it vaginally at 10 PM and was in labor at 7:30 AM next day at 37 weeks 4 days
