Experienced moms - Best birthing positions?

Question

Is there any ones that prevent tearing over others? I’d love some opinions! I know everyone is different and has had a different experience. But I know I don’t want to lay on my back!
I’m hoping others can shed some light on other options!

I had a tear due to my baby coming out with his arm tucked behind his head so it isn’t always to do with positioning!
My midwife recommends perineal massages. Also I’m pretty sure water births reduce tears?

Hands and knees on the bed was so good for me. I didn't tear at all and he was born within 5 minutes of being at the hospital.

Ask if they have a birthing stool. I found squatting to be the most effective with my son, but it was tiring on my legs. Once I got on the birthing stool, everything was so much easier and more comfortable. I could be in the squat position, but without the strain on my legs. I imagine I'll do the same with this baby.

I had my first two kids in the traditional bed position but for my third, i decided to do something different. I delivered standing up and it was the best decision i made. 
Baby #3 was my biggest at 8lbs 1oz and i was induced with pitocin with her. I didnt receive any pain medication so being able to move around really helped. 
When it was time to push, the put a bar on the bed that i could hold on to and i just stood at the end of the bed and would squat a bit with each contractions. I had zero tears. Definitely recommend it!

I had my bf massage down there. Waited late to start but better to do it then not I guess
