Annoyed and confused

I’d like to think I know my body because I have been having EWCM for literally the past 3-4 days and this is the first cycle I decided I wanted to try ovulation tests.... this cycle is a chemical pregnancy cycle so I counted the chemical as day one... I normally have a regular clockwork cycle of 28 days with day 14 or 15 being ovulation.... I have had these faint negative ovulation tests for 4 days now and I’m on cycle day 16 now!!! But ive always heard that EWCM means fertile!!!!!! But ovulation tests aren’t giving me a high. I’m literally testing 3 times through out the day! A bit frustrated.. like are these just not working for me?! Like would this be a “flashy smiley” on a clear blue digital??? I’m about to just go get digital opk 😩
