Sharing the bad news?

So when we first found out we were pregnant with our first, we had this big plan on how we were going to share the news with our siblings & parents. I wanted to wait till our first US so I had a picture to show everybody. At that appt (few weeks ago) we got the bad news that our baby wasn't growing. D/C is scheduled for this monday. I'll be 8 weeks. Should I tell my parents that I was even pregnant? Or wait till I have a successful one? How are you guys handling it?

Do you think you should tell them? Ive always told everyone early on and even though my second pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage, I am so glad people knew. The support I received was overwhelming and it made me feel better that I wasn't alone. Maybe if you tell your mom she may say that she went through the same thing (I hope not) or knows someone who did and can help you grieve. I'm sorry for your loss.

So you were 5 weeks when you went it for an ultrasound when they wouldn't even be able to see anything unless it was vaginal. I'd get a second opinion

They thought I was 8 weeks according to my lmp. I was going by my ovulation date. And ya it would have made me 5 weeks. So I continued each week to take hcg blood tests and ultra sound each week. My levels are dropping and no fetal pole in any of the US. I just don't want to continue on if there really is no baby growing. I havnt heard of a pregnancy going to full term with hcg levels dropping.
