Bassinet recommendations?

Question

I keep going back and forth on this decision. What bassinet should I get?! Baby will be in our bedroom with us (that’s a non-negotiable even if we wanted to keep her in her own room—we live in a one bedroom). I don’t want to get a crib until it’s necessary because we may move to a 2-bedroom before that point and I don’t want to have to move a crib. So what bassinet should I get in the interim?

I would absolutely look into a nice pack n play with bassinet attachment.   We had one with our first and it was fantastic.   We still use it on outings and such and hes 16mo now.   They are similar in Bruce to a bassinet and will last you much much much longer

I had the Arms reach co sleeper and loved it. It could be a stand alone bassinet and I could also drop one of the sides to attach the bassinet to the side of my bed when I was breastfeeding.
You may want to consider a pack n play with a bassinet attachment though if this may be a longer term situation because a lot of bassinets have weight limits that babies can grow out of fairly fast. 
With the pack n play, you could use the bassinet until baby outgrew and then just put baby in the pack n play bed area.

I used the halo and loved it, it’s so safe and convenient. 
Have you thought about strollers? The uppababy vista for example comes with a lovely bassinet, you can use it in your room and on the stroller which is amazing for portable naps or moving around your apartment (baby can nap in living room if you’re chilling in there, etc). I have this stroller and love it. It’s pricey but the bassinet, toddler seat that works for infants and ability to become a double stroller made it worthwhile.

We went with the joovy coo. It’s a basically a mini pack n play. So the top is a bassinet. And the bottom can be used for storage until you take the bassinet out and move it to the bottom for the play pen. It also has a setting to be able to rock.

We got the Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Bassinet and I can’t wait to use it, my boy if due on Dec 2. But it’s all set up and ready to go!

This is the one I got babes going in my room because I live in a 2 bedroom house and my older boys already share a room. I love the pack in play though because it fits just right in my extra space in my room.

We’re likely moving in the next year so we’re also not getting a crib yet.  We decided on a playard with bassinet attachment as other have mentioned, so it can serve multiple purposes until we leave again.
