My endometriosis story. Anyone similar?
The reason I first went to the doctor was because I had started having sex with my now husband and it was painful. I saw several different doctors and did multiple tests and ultrasounds. One doctor wanted to take one of my ovaries out and another told me I might just have to live with the pain. My current doctor did a Laparoscopy and confirmed I had endometriosis. She said she didn’t want to mess with anything during the surgery because the endometriosis had attached my ovary to my bowels. So after the surgery I ended up being on the Lupron Depot shot for 6 months to help clear it up. After that, she had me start taking Medroxyprogesterone every day until we were ready to start trying for a baby. This pill keeps me from having my period which I guess is supposed to help keep the endo from growing back. I was on the pills for a few years and I stopped a few months ago. We are on our second month of TTC. I’m not sure what to really expect in terms of fertility.
