Pain During Sex

I'm 5ft 4in and my boyfriend is over 6ft. We can't have sex standing with me bent over or in normal doggy style because the angle with him being higher than me causes a lot of pain and sometimes even bleeding for me. This also happens in several other positions, even missionary if he is too low. The pain is in the skin on the lower (towards my butt) outside of my vagina as the angle puts pressure there. I've never heard of anyone else having this issue, so I was just wondering if it's normal? Also, with time will it get better? We want to try new positions and we do have options that avoid angles like that but it would be nice to be able to do whatever without having to worry about it.
