Baby sleeping longer stretches - does he need a bigger bottle?

Mamas who feed expressed milk; as your babies sleep longer, see they eating more at one feed when they wake up, or the same as always? 
My little guy takes 3-4 oz every 2-3 hours during the day. He just did his first long stretch of 5.5 hours between feeds, and we gave him his usual 4oz. Should it have been more? He didn't seem fussy etc. afterwards.

I’d follow your baby’s cues, but the idea is that they eat more during the day so require less, and can sleep more, at night.

I think that was a good amount! How old is your baby? My baby is 6 weeks. Lactation consultant said at his age they should be getting about 1 oz an hour. So if he sleeps for 3 hours, I give him 3 oz. If he sleeps over 5 hours, I give him only 4 oz. I noticed once I started giving him bottles of my breastmilk at times he sleeps better.

My baby eats an ounce for every hour he goes without food. I pump in the middle of the night and he gets a bottle. If he goes 4hours then it’s a 4 ounce bottle, if he goes 5 hours then it’s a 4-5 ounce bottle. I don’t think I’d do more than 5 ounces at a time.

My guy is starting to sleep around 7 hours a night and I never feed him more than 3 ounces at a time even when he sleeps that long. If I do he ends up spitting a majority of it up.

Follow his cues, his stomach is still the same small size despite sleeping longer. I would give the 4 oz and if he still seems hungry, offer .5-1 oz increments more...assuming you’re following “pace feeding.” 💕

My girl wakes up really hungry after a long stretch and usually wants 5oz. Just go by baby cues and see if the ya re still looking for food. If they suck down every drop, then offer more.

My baby sleeps 6-7 hours and it seems like she's eating less. She takes 4 oz every time but is going 4-5 hours

Thanks ladies! He seemed content with his 4oz, and only took 3oz after another 3.5 hours of sleep. 🤯 I just got more rest than I have in ages!
