Is staying at a persons house you met once on an internet dating site less than 5 days ago acceptable?

my friend met this guy online on a dating site (POF) 4 days ago, met once and has chosen to go stay at his house already, don’t get me wrong she’s an adult and she makes her own choices rightly so but I felt rather concerned that something dangerous could happen being in a person house overnight that she hasn’t even known for 5 days and especially met on an internet dating site. I wouldn’t tell her not to go because well, it’s not my place and I’d feel awkward telling her what to do as a grown woman but am I alone in thinking it’s not the safest or most responsible thing to do? Would you do it?

I met my BF online. Our second date (7 days after meeting), I stayed over at his house. I let someone know where I was, of course. I just don’t see it as that big of a deal. People go back to other peoples houses for one night stands fairly frequently. Staying over isn’t that different from just being at their house for any other reason

I mean if you goal in life is to end up murdered and dumped into a corn field or river, it's a fantastic idea. We don't live in a safe world anymore. Whoever is considering this needs more common sense and probably wont get far in life  making stupid decisions like that.

Dangerous and reckless behavior. Then when 💩 happens to people that are reckless with their safety, we’d be “victim blaming” to say she shouldn’t have spent the night with someone she didn’t know.

I met my boyfriend online through Facebook he lived literally a block away and never knew it . I spent the night , the second night we hung out and now he’s my boyfriend , but then again I always have my knife on me as well . I can handle myself . Some people  can be naive in these situations . She should keep you updated if she’s going with this person she doesn’t even know .

I met my husband on tinder- i was living with my parents at the time- my dads rule was if they can talk to you for 2 straight weeks, then you can go on dates. My dad is a cop and he said to be extremely cautious with dating sites because hes had lots of cases with assaults, stalkers, and rapes from dating sites.
Just make sure you know where she is and she can come to you for anything.  
I had my best friend- id send her details of dates, addresses and his phone number, photos, and id keep her updated.. 
(Im also a survivor of rape- so i am already overly cautious.)
