What do you do with your baby during the day?

My son just turned 7 weeks old and I’m not sure what to do with him when he’s awake during the day. I let him do tummy time, I talk to him constantly, walk him around the house, read to him, and then other times like right now I put him in his swing. He’s not really interested in any type of toy I offer him yet so idk what to do. When he’s in his swing and I’m just sitting here on my phone it makes me feel so bad like I’m not doing enough with my baby :( What do you do with your baby?

I was going to post something similar as I had these exact thoughts the other day. My boy is 7 weeks as well. 
I'll sit him on my lap and talk to him, play music, try to entertain him with a rattle, walk around the house, or put him down in his activity gym which he will do for 10min or so until he gets tired or overstimulated. I feel like I'm not doing a wide enough variety of things. It's like the same little routine every time he's awake. 
The part about feeling guilty just sitting there really hits home. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

At this stage babies don’t really need to be entertained or engaged. They still can only see a very limited range and their primary need other than feeding is connection. So a few minutes of tummy time a few times a day and lots of holding, skin to skin, talking to them etc. Toys and activities come down the road :)

Nothing wrong with quiet time. Mum's need a break too. There is such a thing as over stimulating, so don't feel guilty for watching some TV or being on your phone. Sounds like you're doing the right things

I’m going through this with my 7 week old and he seems to really enjoy his swing. I let him swing for awhile and then when he’s awake, I talk to him, and read to him. He’s super interested in the ceiling fan :) lol. So I’m going to order a mobile for him.

At this age their brains are happy just to see everyday patterns and watch your face while you live life. They like your voice etc. 
I go to baby time things to learn songs , but mainly to have coffee with other moms while she sleeps on me lol.

We have a swing and an activity mat. If mine is content just chilling I leave her be. Otherwise she lays on my chest and I watch TV.

At this age they only need about 2-3 minutes of engaged interaction at a time, about 3 of these sessions in a 1 hour wake period. The last 20 min before sleep is time to wind down. A bit of tummy time and talking is really the best you can do, dont beat yourself up 😊
