Update::Lump in armpit

I was showering two days ago and noticed a somewhat tender lump in my armpit. I could only really feel it easily while applying soap, since my hand could slide right over it. It isn’t visible at all, but I can just barely feel it. After looking it up, it looks like this could be a lymph node. It’s only under the one armpit. Today, it’s slightly more difficult to feel, but I was able to in the shower.

Now, of course, I’m panicked that it could be something serious.

Has anyone else experienced this, and what was the outcome?

If it’s relevant at all- I have extremely irregular periods and my hormones are likely off.

I plan to see a doctor about the lump, but I’m currently looking for a new one since I just moved, so who knows when they’ll be able to see me.

Update:: thanks, everyone! You really calmed me nerves. I went to an urgent care. The doctor said it’s an infected gland or a cyst and that since it is very small and mobile, it’s not too concerning. She gave me prescription ibuprofen and an antibiotic.
