Cough/heavy mucus

I’ve had a cough for a week already i can’t stop coughing because of all of the mucus that I feel in my chest/lungs im just trying to get it all out. My mom recently passed away from Pnemonia, I know it’s off topic but I have health anxiety and I’m wondering if I have Pnemonia now. I’m taking mucinex and DayQuil. I don’t have insurance so I only go to the doctor if I absolutely have to. Wondering if it’s time to go to the doctor or if it’s most likely a cold and I should give it some more time to go away on it’s own?? It’s 7 days already and I don’t think I am recovering , it’s not any better than it was on day 1 but it’s not keeping me up all night either.
