21 weeks. CDH diagnosis.

As my sonographer sent me off for a walk to move my awkwardly placed baby, I never imagined that she was actually sending me off while she sent for a consultant to look at my scan.

Unfortunately the consultant confirmed her suspicions. Baby's stomach is where her heart should be and the heart and the lungs are pushed over to one side.

We are due to have an MRI and heart scan but until then the best statistic we have for our little girl's survival is 50%. We are absolutely heartbroken and just can't believe this is happening. I get waves of grief and moments of calmness. I just never expected to have to be confronted with the loss of my baby this far into my pregnancy.
