Has anyone been advised against a full body massage in the 1st trimester?

If you get one, you need to go to someone who is super experienced in prenatal massage.  There are certain pressure points that can cause contractions.

I got a massage in my second trimester and asked the therapist why i couldn’t book an appointment in my first trimester. She said that it’s not that the massage will actually put the baby at risk, there’s no evidence, but since the risk of miscarriage is higher during the first trimester, they wait to take on expectant mothers after the 12 weeks to avoid potential lawsuits just in case they were to somehow get blamed. It’s just to avoid liability. (I live in Ireland btw)

I asked my masseuse about it and she said they avoid first trimester due to protocols (like people blaming them for miscarriage) but after that you need to ask for a prenatal massage so they can avoid spots that trigger contractions. I'm sure theres some places that allow first trimester but its always best to be honest with your massuse.

Ive heard it releases toxins from your muscles which is can get to high for the baby in the blood. But only deep tissue massages are off limits. I have no idea how true it is tho

So I created this poll. I tried to update it with some information but I guess I'm not doing it right.
 A few months ago as a gift, my boyfriend got me a for body massage from his regular masseuse. I'm currently 8 + 4 and I text the masseuse asking her if it was ok to get a massage.  I text her that I was 8 weeks but she misread it for 18 weeks. She was in the middle of the massage just now when based on a statement I made she realized that I am still in my 1st trimester. She immediately stopped and warned me about the risk of miscarriage and pressure points. She admitted that she misread my message but I was already cramping at this time. She wouldn't even let me pay her.
No bleeding...i feel like such an idiot
