Symptoms of blood clot??

I’m indecisive on if I should go to the walk in clinic or not. This morning around 4am I woke up with what felt like a really painful leg cramp. It was burning, like stinging and tugging from my hip to my foot. Walking and stretching didn’t seem to make it change. It stopped around 5am and I was then able to fall asleep. I didn’t feel any pain today but it just came back  an hour ago and it’s still here. It’s as if my muscles are being tugged from my hip down to my foot. I’m on the pill and I was afraid this might be a blood clot??

I’m not sure wha the symptoms of a blood clot are, but google “sciatic nerve pain” because the area you’re describing sounds like it to me from my experience.  It wouldn’t hurt to go get checked out though!

Symptoms of a blood clot are pain, redness, swelling, hot to the touch.... but not everyone has all these symptoms or even some of the symptoms.

Do you have any other risk factors associated with the pill such as being over the age 35? A smoker? Overweight? Are you having any trouble breathing? 
My limited knowledge of blood clots especially in the legs is that's not how they present. It would be a specific area in your calf that's red and warm to the touch. 
A clot would not disappear for hours and then return. 
The pain you're describing sounds like what happens to me when I go from wearing flat shoes to heels or wedges or walk a significant amount more than normal in not great shoes.

Do you have swelling in the leg or ankle? I'd say go bc its better safe than sorry.
